My last major purchase: My wedding last Christmas.
One thing I never want to do again: be a starving artist.
The worst idea I ever had: that my black hair needed highlights...It looked like
something off of the floor of a hunting lodge.
I wish I had known: that you shouldn’t complain about your 25 year-old body because not far on the horizon it becomes what you are just trying to get back to.
My favorite body part: my height.
The smartest woman I know: My beautiful five year old niece with her refreshing
insights... the last time we went to dinner she looked around and proclaimed that
she just didn’t think grown-ups had enough fun.
The item that has changed my life: Satellite radio in my studio.
The food I could eat every day: peanut butter.
I still can’t get the hang of: parallel parking.
I am guilty of: not exercising enough.
My favorite possession: an old black & white photograph that I desperately wanted from an art show many years ago. I offered the artist a trade—a painting of her daughter for the photograph and that started the ball rolling on my painting career.
My theme song: Right now Amos Lee’s “Supply and Demand”—I love the lyrics.
Words I live by: “Life is short, write a check.” Actually, I mostly say that to my husband when he tries to get me to work in the yard with him.
