The onset of warm weather always causes me to stop and ponder the deeper issues of life.
Today’s issue? Swimwear.
I have spent far too many summers at Folly Beach trying to save the innocent beach-dwellers from seeing a bit too much of what I like to call my “goodies.” So, this season, I’ve decided to invest in a one-piece.
It’s surprising, how, in 2008, there are still a scary number of bathing suits that look like this:

“Moroccan print” by Land’s End, $54.50-$64.50 (also available in red/orange).
However, the extreme glamour of some of these suits blows my MIND.

“Retro Funk” by Pearl Swimwear, $90.

“Gold ring deep-v halter” by J. Crew, $85.
And, finally, my favorite:

“Audrey” by Princesse Tam-Tam, 95 €/ $148.50.
Obviously, I love an elegant black swimsuit, but would also be open to gray, navy, chocolate brown, or a fun color like kelly green or yellow.
Any suggestions?

I love that first one.
Now, after reading your "interests," I have decided that you and Margaret need to come up to my crib and we'll drink tea out of my bone china and watch Pride and Prejudice (the BBC one with Colin Firth). Then we'll make my husband say things to us like "Dinner is served, Madames" and "Pardon me, but have you any scones?" (the way he says scones is SO cute).

You've got to check out the hot retro styles over at Urban Outfitters:

Unforch, that low-on-the-thigh style always hits my legs in such a way that I look my grandmother (and I don't mean at 25.) Unflattering. But better than those horrid boy short things that my cheeks fall out of...sorry, TMI.
