In the Bag

Wednesday, April, 23, 2008

So, we were nominated (i.e., told by Nikki) to design skirt!’s bag for this year’s Center for Women Purse Auction. Margaret and I each did a side. The theme for our bag was “United skirt!s of America.” Here is a “sneak peek” of our bag, which was sent out by the Center for Women yesterday:

Margaret designed the other side, using words that describe both skirt! and its readers, in cool skirt!-inspired fonts. Unfortunately, that image is not available, so you’ll just have to come out to the Purse Auction tomorrow night to see it!

Not only that, but Charleston has a bevy of talented and artistic individuals--many who have also designed bags for the auction. Each company or individual who took part in the creation of a bag put their own unique twist on it. Our United skirt!s bag is stuffed with skirt! books.

So, if you’re feeling the desire for some new arm candy (of the purse kind) or you are just curious to see some of these incredible designs, come to The City Gallery at Waterfront Park (34 Prioleau Street) at 6pm. We’ll be there!
