My brain is still playing over the events of the past week and like anything inspirational, I am now searching for ways to take action.

Here are some links to places where you can volunteer to spread the word.

V-Day.org: Find out where V-Day is held in your city, start a V-Day if there isn’t one, download V-Day materials.

Stop Raping Our Greatest Resource: Write a letter to the President of the DR Congo to ask him to put an end to the incredible amount of violence against women and girls in his country. Download a pre-written letter or posters, sign up for an informative mailing list about the topic.

CODE PINK: Go to “Join” to start or find local groups, join the mailing list to find out about events, spread the word about CODE PINK. Go to “Act” to find out what you can do right now, this second, to spread the cause of peace in our government.

Right Rides: Find out how you can escort women by walking or driving them to or from work, to give them a safe way to transport as an alternative to walking or riding alone and greatly increasing their liklihood of sexual harassment or abuse.

Charity Guide: Find volunteer or donation opportunities...no matter whether you have 15 minutes and $5 or 40 hours and $5,000,000, you’ll find an opportunity to lend a hand.
