Each day is a mini-triathlon for this College of Charleston junior, who balances grueling workout sessions, classes and work. Endurance is the name of his game. "I caught the triathlon bug last year," says Joseph, a former soccer player who realized he loved running more than playing goalie. This month he takes the College of Charleston Triathlon Team, a club team he co-founded this year, to compete at the collegiate nationals. "I like pushing myself as hard as I can," he says. "Being a student triathlete forces me to be disciplined." When not training or studying, Joe works at TrySports and is a member of the shop's cycling team. "My goal is to get more students into the sport," he says. "It's fun. We help students train to compete."
The best thing about wearing a skirt? "Showing off my milky white thighs."
His favorite thing about reading skirt!? "A great way to pass time between classes."
