The SideShow was on Saturday and from what I hear, it was a hit! I know I had a great time. I met some incredible people, saw some amazing outfits, and now I want to do it all over again. The show was in two parts. Part I showcased the fashions of local boutiques, such as Max Jerome, Global Awakening and B’zar. After a performance from The V-Tones, Part II was all about local designers: Leigh Magar, Philadora, Rose Knot, and Spinster. I was in the final show of the night, Spinster, which was all about drama. Lots of layers, texture, color. Our makeup was simple...pale faces, “light socket” eyes (lots of black), and pale lips. Our biggest accessory was hair. I sported a mohawk while others had bouffants and headpieces. Adrienne really played with fit in her clothes. Some of us had billowy, drapey outfits while others wore skintight little dresses and skirts. We were told to toss the typical runway walk out the window and be as dramatic as possible. With my blue gown I was supposed to be sad, but once I was on the catwalk, nerves were present and it was all I could do to not race down the runway! Hopefully I conveyed some of the emotion I was supposed to represent...
Here’s a photo of me onstage:

I can't even begin to describe what it was like trying to get all of that hairspray out. In the shower, my head felt like it was coated in slime. It was worth it, though! I was at least 4 inches taller!
