art and cream puffs

last night, as promised, the skirt! ladies hit the center for women art reception. first of all, i have to tell you, there was an amazing spread of food. two tables full of veggies, a swanky meat and cheese plate, tiny triangle sandwiches, assorted dips, and cream puffs. CREAM PUFFS! hallejulah for cream puffs. when i can’t have a cupcake, i’ll always take a cream puff!

i had kelly take a photo of another piece of art that i liked. i think i like it because it’s the kind of thing i’d want to do – photographic image + abstract tech geek + artsy colorful sex. i think it’s brianna stello:

katie and i also met alice keeney, whose artwork is all around kudu – the cozy and amazing african coffee shop around the corner from our office. kudu is the sort of place you dream of before you know it exists... and then once you walk in you realize it’s nothing short of everything you wanted in a coffee shop. but i digress..
