True confessions: * Not as politically aware as I should be. * I bite my nails. * I didn't love the Sex and the City movie. * I am actually, really addicted to sugar and should probably be in a 12-step program. * By addicted, I mean, I lash out at people and get grumpy when I haven't had my sug...

A list.

A list of things I loved as a little girl that I will never stop loving:

1. School supplies. I was the kid who had my backpack packed by late July. It was stuffed with crisp folders, unmarked spiral notebooks, and unsharpened pencils (complete with unicorn eraser topper). As an adult, I now satisfy my school supply cravings with pretty stationary, journals, and pens.

2. Crayons. Looking a deluxe set of Crayolas still sends my heart racing. When I was in elementary school, 64-color sets were more than I could comprehend, but now they have 120!! Think of the possibilities!

3. Anne of Green Gables. This series, or any of L.M. Montgomery’s books, is so dear to my heart. I spent countless hours curled up, reading these tales and hoping that I’d grow up to be like these girls…not typically beautiful, but charming, intelligent, and packed with imagination. I still go back to these books every once in a while for inspiration.

 4. Pippi Longstocking. Astrid Lindgren’s female characters are spunky and independent—exactly the characters I loved as a kid. The Pippi Longstocking stories were made into movies in Sweden. I would rent these (overdubbed into English) over and over and I just found the boxed set on Amazon! I’m going to add it to my collection.

5. Sparkles & Sequins. I never grew out of the need for sequined party shoes. When I stumbled upon these at Urban Outfitters, I had to have them. (I got the silver ones.)

You can remember your Cabbage Patch Kid's name? I wish I could. I remember the birth certificate, but I can't remember mine's name! Also...I still wear temporary tattoos. ~sabrina
