a recent study over at clemson university says that when you double dip a chip and dip, you are actually transferring all these horrible germs into the dip.
guess what? i don’t care.
sorry all, please don’t attend parties with me if you feel strongly about this. but the thing is, it’s not like people dip the chip, suck all the dip off of it, lick the whole entire rest of the chip, dip the chip in the dip, swirl it all around, sneeze in the dip for good measure, and then eat their twice-dipped chip. (these people think so though)
come on, what are we, slobbering dogs? i think everyone is overreacting. you dip, you bite the chip, effectively cracking it with your teeth, because it’s a crunchy tortilla chip, not a piece of bread or something that leaves teeth marks. and even then, what? your teeth are so germariffic? they’re teeth, i don’t even think they have pores. so anyway, it’s not like the inner working of your germy nasty mouth ever touched the part of the chip that will return to the dip. right?
and even IF this study is correct, i would like to know the rate of germ-growing over time, regardless of the number of chip dips into the dip. seems a chart of dip over time and dip being dipped into may follow a similar course.
like this:

what do you think?

Me no likey.
I don't really care about the double dipping, though. I'll go have chips and queso at Juanita's with you...
