resolution(s)

i never really posted the necessary new years entry. i only have one resolution: to buy a pair of boots from duo boots. duo boots let you get a pair custom-sized for your calves, and sometimes in a custom color.

these past two months or so, i’ve wasted hours in shoe stores trying to find a pair of boots that did not look like wellies on me. now, i have very nice calves for a person who doesn’t even like to take the stairs... but ratio of calf to leg to foot size means that even when i say to the girl at nine west, “my calves are really narrow, most boots are too loose” and she nods and says “oh yeah me too, i’ll bring you a few pairs i tried on this morning” and she brings out three boxes and i can fit my calf AND both hands in the boots... well, she is a liar.

at duo, they ask you to measure your calves and then you pick a style and voila they make them and mail them or whatnot. well “narrow calf” sizes start at 30 cm and go to 50 cm... guess how much around my calf is? like, 31 cm.

i’ll be in england in august, so i’ve got a little less than 8 months to pick exactly which style i’d like, and in the meantime, think of more resolutions.

any other skinny calf girls out there that want me to pick some up for them?
