this weekend, for the first time!, i went to savannah, hurray! it was my friend margaret’s birthday (i know, how weird is it to know ANOTHER margaret?) and to celebrate we roadtripped southward to indulge in tempurpedic mattresses (hers, not mine), cobblestonier streets than charleston, and karaoke pipe dreams.
luckily, there is a skirt! in fabulous savannah, along with an even more fabulous editor – mz jessica leigh lebos.
here we are mugging for the camera, tourist-style, and windblown:
after animated gabbing about the city, the mag, and the holidays, jessica ran back to her car and my friends informed me that i am basically a mini-jessica. not too shabby methinks, i would be happy being the bright hat lady empress of skirt savannah!
jessica recommended too many lovely places for us to go to (we were only there for a night--so hard to choose!). we ended up catching the lighted christmas parade (the marching band was the BEST part) and getting drinks at churchill’s on bay st.
the next morning we had brunch at firefly before walking the squares (a jessica requirement) and i can confidently say that i would eat at firefly every single day if i could. i am still daydreaming about yesterday’s breakfast today. i chose some eggs benedict twist which featured artichokes and spinach (omg did they read my mind?) and my partner matt chose a sweet potato/tofu something or other (below). i also bought that mug as a souvenir :)
mmmm savannah you stole my heart. stay tuned for future savannah skirt summits!

LOL - if you are a mini-me, it must be literally - about half my size ;)
