Not one to sit still, Dakota is a masseuse, holistic health teacher, graphic artist and godsend to the women served by Isabelle’s House. She eats out way too much, prefers Muddy Waters coffee and adored her grandmother Isabelle.

Seek your own adventures.

Thank others often.

Do what you love.

Drink a lot of coffee!

Be mindful.

”What I loved about my grandmother is that she’d stop whatever she was doing to engage me in conversation when I walked in the room,” says Dakota. “She focused on what was important, on the human spirit.” Through Isabelle’s House, Dakota brings her grandmother’s brand of magic to women in the community—renovating a home, with all the bells and whistles, for a single working mother; transforming the women’s shelter dining room at Crisis Ministries into Isabelle’s Bistro for one night, with a four-course meal cooked by a former Ritz Carleton chef, maitre-D service and gifts and personal notes for the guests. In her spare time, Dakota searches abandoned houses for odd treasures. Her favorite recent find:The South Carolina Guide to Being an Inmate.Learn more about Isabelle’s House at www.isabelleshouse.org.
